We are Patti and Barb. We became friends and sisters-in-law back in 1984, but it wasn’t until years later that we discovered the fun of hand-designing greeting cards to celebrate the people in our lives.

With a family as large as ours, there is a never-ending cycle of birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and major milestones. We started painting custom cards out of necessity, and it quickly became a tradition. There is nothing quite like watching your family pass a piece of physical artwork around the room at a party – especially in an era where everyone else just sends a “HBD” text.

We officially branched out when Barb’s grandson needed to raise funds for a school trip. We grabbed our brushes and spent every spare moment painting in bulk (well, bulk for us). We ended up selling nearly 200 unique cards at local craft fairs.

That was our lightbulb moment. Our customers went crazy for actual, hand-designed artistry. In a world completely saturated with digital graphics and robotic AI-generated imagery, people were craving something real. We realized that people want to maintain the connections with the important people in their lives – even when they don’t have the time to hunt for cards.

 

That is why we built Blossom Pie. We wanted to create an effortless way for busy people to share the perfect greeting – without getting up from the  couch.

Today, we look ahead at the calendar, hand-design fresh collections in our studio, and format our cards so you always have the perfect message ready to share at a moment’s notice. No boring texts. No generic grocery store aisles. No picked-over drugstore racks. Just artisanal greetings delivered on your timeline.
